Experience Yerba Mate Cafe

We provide you with a wholesome experience into the world of yerba mate tea and South American culture. Tastings last for just over an hour and a half during which time you'll explore 10 different yerba mate teas covering various styles including pure leaves, with stems, herbs and blends. You will taste innovative products made of yerba mate. You'll learn about the origins of yerba mate, its culture, harvest, drying processes. You’ll be guided through a sensory activity to examine different brands of yerba mate and learn what to expect from your yerba (and what not to). At the end of the experience, you will know how to recognise different yerba mate types, how processing changes the taste of the yerba, we’ll give you practical advice about best practices to prepare your yerba mate, curing your gourd and what to look for when selecting a brand of yerba mate.

COST

$45 per person, payable at time of booking.  
Cancellations can be made up to 7 days before your tasting.  
Within 7 days a $15 administration fee will be charged.

 

GROUP BOOKINGS

Our group bookings can accommodate up to 15 people maximum. 

We offer tastings for schools, corporate groups, bridal showers, fundraisers, family outings or just groups of friends. We can arrange catering of empanadas or arepas at an extra charge.

We can conduct the experience in English, Spanish or "Spanglish".
